The church was completed in 1875 (the same year Albert House

Merrickville
the Jewel of the Rideau
A charming village on the Rideau River. Some interesting
antique stores.
Village of Manotick
A picturesque little community on the Rideau River, just
15 minutes sout of Ottawa.
Town
of Smiths Falls
Originally a railway town, Smiths Falls is less than an
hour's drive from Ottawa. Visit the Railway Museum, the
Heritage House Museum, or watch trains at the station. 'The
Falls" is still the major rail junction in Eastern
Ontario.
Ottawa Valley
The Ottawa Valley stretches from Canada's capital to the
wilderness of Ontario's world renown Algonquin Park. More
than half of the valley is wilderness. Some great places
to visit - and so close!
1000 Islands
There are actually 1,800 islands that make up the 1000 Islands
region. A wonderful place to visit and only a short drive
from Ottawa.
Parks of the St. Lawrence
Visit Upper Canada Village (at Morrisburg) and old Fort
Henry (at Kingston).
Perth
Only an hour west this is one of our favourite towns. Beautiful
heritage buildings, a lovely park right on the Tay River
and some great shops and restaurants.
